SERVICES OFFERED BY THE REGION 5
PREVENTION PROVIDERS INCLUDE:

• Participation in media campaigns and public presentations that raise awareness on behavioral health prevention
• Prevention outlet for materials and information
• Trainings, workshops, and in-service sessions for schools, community groups and organizations
• Technical assistance in prevention program development, curricula design and data interpretation
• Implement environmental strategies for alcohol and tobacco compliance and accessibility
• Assist with the state-wide data collection of the Arkansas Prevention Needs Assessment
• Promote and increase behavioral health prevention via community awareness, media campaigns, evidence based programming and education of the Strategic Planning Process and the Strategic Prevention Framework
• Initiate prevention efforts across the lifespan as directed by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
